favorite tropes
- “i know exactly what’s going on here” “you do??” “yeah, anybody could see it. [insert something that isn’t even close to the secret the character is keeping]”
- “it’s behind me isn’t it” “(obviously lying) no”
- character listening to music while working and remaining completely unaware of some drama happening behind them, only to take off their headphones as they finish their task and find the place in complete ruins
- after a bunch of action where people did not care about property damage a character who was gone the entire episode comes in like “WHAT HAPPENED?”
- bonus if they, like, come back from vacation in a hawaiian shirt or something
- secret identity drama re: superheros & supervillains. special mentions:
- “yeah i’m friends with [superhero]” cue drama of constantly changing costumes
- superhero nerd questioning whether the superhero’s secret identity knows anything about the superhero
- secret identity caught in costume and being told their cosplay sucks and is inaccurate
- “that can’t be the superhero because the superhero doesn’t wear glasses, obviously :/”
- anything that makes the superhero’s secret identity and supervillain’s secret identity hang out
- science character: for science
- creepy monster character: i love halloween. i can walk around without disguising myself and people just think it’s an awesome costume!
- power of friendship
- power of rock and roll
a few more i remembered
- “have you seen [x item/person]?” “you mean like [exact description of item/person]?” “yes!” “never heard of it/them”
- when chaos is occurring but somebody like a guard/teacher comes in so everybody freezes in impossible poses (like in midair) and then the chaos resumes once that person leaves
- person who is in a room they are not supposed to be in panicking when somebody is about to come in. that person comes in to find the room empty. cut to the first person hanging from the ceiling
- “we need to hide!” *finds random objects/statues that are shaped exactly like the different characters who need to hide*
- something exploding in a situation when it really would NOT explode
